The PolarBox is an innovative IoT solution for monitoring refrigeration systems. Connected to the PolarVisor web application, it provides continuous, remote monitoring, with alerts in the event of drift, such as a leak or energy drift. This means better control of installations, faster detection of anomalies, and reduced response times and environmental impact.
The refrigeration sector is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. HFC refrigerants generate direct emissions in the event of leakage, while refrigeration plants also contribute significant emissions due to their energy consumption. What are the differences between the DNI and the PolarBox?
- In-depth performance monitoring and alerts : Like the DNI, and unlike a simple leak detection device, the PolarBox offers in-depth monitoring of plant performance, but with more advanced analysis thanks to new criteria. By analysing refrigerant levels and equipment operation, it enables proactive management to ensure optimum performance. By collecting data such as temperature, HP pressure, superheat, discharge and LP pressure, the PolarBox provides comprehensive, detailed monitoring of installations. To improve plant performance, detailed monitoring of the systems’ Coefficient of Performance (COP) is an invaluable ally. The PolarBox Energy Module also provides detailed monitoring of energy consumption and compressor operation.
- Modular electronics and multi-plant monitoring : Thanks to their modular design, each PolarBox can monitor up to 4 control units on the same site, whereas the DNI can only monitor one control unit per device. The increased computing power means that the PolarBox can easily adapt to the needs of each site monitored, simplifying the management of refrigeration plants and reducing installation and maintenance costs.
- Built-in 4G connectivity : The PolarBox enables remote monitoring in real time thanks to its 4G connectivity, which is independent of the client network, with a remote antenna for isolated environments. You can manage your installations at any time, from anywhere, while benefiting from smooth, continuous communication via the PolarVisor web interface. You can avoid unnecessary travel and better prepare for interventions thanks to real-time data.
- Simplified installation with POE power supply : Thanks to the Power Over Ethernet (POE) power supply and easy RJ45 cabling, the PolarBox can be installed more quickly, with less cabling and simpler installation.
- New graphical interface : The PolarBox features a new graphical interface for on-site parameter setting, accessible in real time via the POE cable, as well as a tablet-style mobile screen that can be used on all PolarBoxes, providing an enhanced user experience.
The PolarBox is not just an evolution of the DNI, it marks a real turning point in refrigeration plant management.
