After months of user-oriented research and development, Matelex launches the PolarBox, a connected solution for remote monitoring of refrigeration systems. The main aim of this new range of equipment is to optimize plant performance while minimizing the environmental and financial impact of cold production.

Matelex currently monitors over 960 tons of refrigerant through its IoT solutions, equivalent to 1,649,274 tons of CO2. Matelex’s equipment goes beyond simple monitoring, measuring, analyzing and learning about the operation of refrigeration systems. Connected to the PolarVisor web-based supervision platform, they alert users to any anomalies, providing clear indicators to simplify plant management.

The PolarBox is the new generation of equipment dedicated to optimizing refrigeration plant operation. It is associated with a new monitoring platform: PolarVisor. The PolarBox and PolarVisor Duo provides remote visibility of plant operation, reducing its environmental and financial impact.

Multi-plant monitoring

To reduce the amount of equipment used, and therefore installation time, the PolarBox can monitor up to 4 central refrigeration units in a single location. This modularity makes it easy to adapt to the specific needs of each site, offering greater flexibility.

Integrated 4G connectivity

fast, secure data transmission with multi-operator, plug-and-play 4G connectivity. The PolarBox guarantees constant communication, independent of the site network, with additional antennas ensuring optimum connectivity, even in remote areas.

New Energy module :

The Energy module helps reduce consumption and improve the COP (coefficient of performance) of installations, with real-time monitoring of compressors, condenser fans and pumps. The Energy Module provides precise data on the efficiency of refrigeration production and identifies cycle costs (compressors), helping to reduce energy bills and limit the risk of failure.

Wireless outdoor temperature module :

PolarBox now offers a single wireless outdoor temperature module for all control units. It provides unlimited communication and autonomy for up to 7 years. Easy to install and ready to use!

A single screen for all sites:

The arrival of multi-central mode means a reduction in the number of screens on the site. A single screen provides access to the on-site configuration and visualization interface for all PolarBoxes. This reduces operational complexity and delivers a harmonized user experience.

Simplified installation with POE power supply :

POE (Power Over Ethernet) cabling simplifies installation and improves connectivity. A single cable powers the modules while transferring data, reducing the need for cabling and facilitating installation.

Ergonomic, step-by-step configuration interface:

New web interface guides the user step-by-step for optimum, simplified configuration. The interface, available on Matelex tablets or any other device, offers a fluid, simplified user experience, with a final checklist for flawless configuration.
