The DNI measures, learns, calculates and alerts in the event of a leak
The DNI is an intelligent system dedicated to the leak detection of refrigeration installations. Thanks to a weighing system, pressure and temperature measurements taken every 3 seconds, as well as dedicated algorithms, the DNI performs continuous leak detection.
Capable of learning the normal operation of a refrigeration installation, the DNI determines a reference level and thus triggers the right alarm, at the right time. Patented since 2009, it complies with French and European regulatory requirements for leak detection.
The Matelex Intelligent Level Detector is suitable for all installations with a HP (High Pressure) liquid reservoir: vertical, horizontal or horizontal inclined tanks.
The DNI works with all refrigerants, and has more than 120 pre-registered fluids, including CO2 and ammonia (NH3).
The DNI is connected to the Sentinelle web interface. This secure portal allows remote monitoring of refrigeration installations via performance analysis tools, alerts and technical advice dedicated to optimizing the operation of the installations.
Several options for connecting the DNI to the Sentinelle web interface are available:
- ethernet / RJ45 cable
- 3G / 4G modem.
Two types of alarms alert in the event of a leak :
- A classic low level alarm: if the level falls below the threshold determined on site or remotely, an alarm is triggered.
- A so-called "statistical" alarm from learning how the installation works. Once the DNI is installed, it will take a few days to identify normal variations in the refrigerant level and abnormal variations. The DNI is thus able to determine a reference level, and to alert as soon as it moves away from it.
For which type of tanks?
The DNI is suitable for all types of tanks. Whether vertical, horizontal or even
inclined tanks, the DNI is able to calculate the levels and volumes of refrigerant.
Single vertical tanks
Horizontal tanks on outdoor bodied units
Double vertical tanks
Single and inclined horizontal tanks
For which refrigerants?
The DNI works with all refrigerants. More than 120 fluids are integrated into the DNI library, including CO2 and ammonia (NH3). It is even possible to create your own mixtures.
How does the DNI communicate?
The DNI is connected to the PolarVisor web interface. Several connection options are available: wifi, ethernet / RJ45 cable or via a 3G / 4G card. The connection to PolarVisor brings many advantages such as assistance with fault identification, automatic updates, an additional year of warranty and an easier after-sales service. Note: the exchange of information between the DNI and Sentinelle is secure thanks to data encryption.
How do leak alerts work?
Need advice, questions ?
Matelex supports you in the installation of your DNI and its additional modules with a detailed and pictorial installation manual. Our technical support is available by phone or email and offers distance and / or on-site training sessions.
The DNI complies with French and European regulatory requirements. Patented and tested by independent organizations, the DNI triggers an alarm as soon as a leak is declared and before reaching regulatory thresholds (50g / h or 10% of the volume of the equipment).
