The PolarBox is the new generation of Matelex IoT equipment dedicated to remote monitoring and optimising the operation of refrigeration installations.

PolarBox is Matelex's new range of equipment for reducing the environmental and financial impact of refrigeration installations. This IoT solution is capable of measuring and learning how refrigeration systems operate, so that it can provide an alert in the event of an anomaly such as a leak or energy drift. The PolarBox solution and its PolarVisor web interface simplify the management of refrigeration installations, while improving their performance. Manage up to 4 central refrigeration units with one PolarBox :
With PolarBox, you can manage from 1 to 4 central refrigeration units on the same site using a single controller. Reduce installation time and the number of units on site! Each unit is equipped with its own measurement system, and the information is transmitted to the controller, which analyses it and transmits it to the PolarVisor web monitoring interface.
It's simple: the more control units you equip, the more you reduce your costs.
Built-in 4G connectivity:
There's no need to run cables or connect equipment to the site's WiFi. Each PolarBox includes independent, ready-to-use 4G connectivity.
This multi-operator connectivity means you'll have a powerful connection even in remote areas.
Additional antennas provide coverage for even the most remote areas.
Take advantage of a wireless outdoor temperature module :
A single, stand-alone outdoor temperature module for all your control units. Wireless, it has an unlimited range and a battery life of up to 5 years.
Simplified installation with POE power supply :
POE stands for Power Over Ethernet. Simply put, a single cable powers the modules and transfers the data. Less wiring to do, saving time on site.
To connect to the configuration interface, simply plug the cable into a tablet or computer.
Want to use a smartphone ? Create a local wifi network using PolarBox.
New configuration interface :
The PolarBox configuration and on-site display interface has been completely redesigned.
In the form of a web application, it can be accessed via the Matelex tablet or from your device. Configuration is simple, step by step. Follow the steps and check that everything is set up correctly with the final checklist.
A single screen for all your sites:
With multi-exchange monitoring, we've reduced the number of screens on site.
A single screen gives you local access to the configuration of each exchange. Use your screens on all your PolarBox-equipped sites!
Manage your plants and sites remotely with PolarVisor :
PolarVisor gives you access to data from your equipment wherever you are. View contour lines, adjust detection sensitivity and access plant operating data in real time. You can also take advantage of a centralised monitoring dashboard for all your sites and identify priority interventions at a glance.
For which type of tanks?
The DNI is suitable for all types of tanks. Whether vertical, horizontal or even
inclined tanks, the DNI is able to calculate the levels and volumes of refrigerant.

For which refrigerants ?
The PolarBox works with all refrigerants, including CO2 and NH3. New fluids are integrated as soon as they arrive on the market.
How does the PolarBox communicate ?
The DNI is connected to the PolarVisor web interface. Several connection options are available: wifi, ethernet / RJ45 cable or via a 3G / 4G card. The connection to PolarVisor brings many advantages such as assistance with fault identification, automatic updates, an additional year of warranty and an easier after-sales service. Note: the exchange of information between the DNI and PolarVisor is secure thanks to data encryption.

Installation
Matelex supports you in the installation of your PolarBox and its additional modules with a detailed and pictorial installation manual. Our technical support is available by phone or email and offers distance and / or on-site training sessions.
Performances
The PolarBox complies with US and European regulatory requirements. Patented and tested by independent organizations, the DNI triggers an alarm as soon as a leak is declared and before reaching regulatory thresholds (50g / h or 10% of the volume of the equipment).
